I spend the whole of the September school holidays working with my matric son, Bert and a friend, Duane (Dwain) on maths in preparation for the exams, which started today. Somehow it does not feel like such and effort when you are doing it in such a lovely place….
Jd came to join us for the last weekend and we generally spent the weekend lazing around while the boys were doing yet another past paper. (For past exam papers and memorandums, see www.easymaths.org.za) As it was spring festival we did do the fleamarket and muscadel tasting at the Edge, but generally just watch world cup action on the TV. In any case, Hogsback did it normal misty-rainy-thingie which were the perfect excuse for just parking off on the couch.
As per usual, I invited the Wredes up to join us and Larisse produced yet another stunning curry. Maybe we should have a curry workshop in Hogsback one of these days?
